The Blohm & Voss L 10 Friedensengel (Angel of Peace) was a glide-attachment designed to increase the distance from which torpedoes could be launched. This device was specifically tested with the He 111J-1 torpedo bombers. Each L 10 Friedensengel measured 5.36 meters (17 feet 7 inches) long and weighed 765 kilograms (1,686.5 pounds). It carried an explosive charge of 185 kilograms (408 pounds) and had a maximum running range of 2,000 meters (2,190 yards).
