332nd Fighter Group (Tuskegee Airmen) Aircraft Markings

Squadron Markings:

  1. 99th Fighter Squadron

    • Codes: A00 to A39
    • Tail: Angled red tail feathers

  2. 100th Fighter Squadron

    • Codes: 1-39
    • Tail and Other Markings: Red spinner, nose, tail feathers, wingtips, and main gear doors.
  3. 301st Fighter Squadron

    • Codes: 40-69
    • Tail and Other Markings: Red spinner, nose, tail feathers, and wingtips.
  4. 302nd Fighter Squadron

    • Codes: 70-99
    • Tail: Angled red tail feathers
    • Other Markings: Red spinner and wingtips; yellow rudder trim tab and a narrow band behind the spinner.

General Aircraft Appearance:

  • Color Scheme: Aircraft were delivered either in an olive green and grey camouflage scheme or left unpainted, except for an olive drab anti-glare panel.
  • Wing Bands: Counter-colored wing bands were featured, providing a distinctive identification for their aircraft.
