1st Air Commando B-25G formation with the unique markings of the 1st Air Commando.

Designed to assist the Chindits who were battling in Burma, the 1st Air Commando of the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) operated airplanes that could serve in either close air support or resupply missions for the soldiers on the field. Among the most efficient aircraft for the support function was the B-25G.
