PBJ-1H ready for catapult launch from USS Shangri-La (CV-38), November 1944
Following the successful landing trials, the PBJ-1H (BuNo. 35277) was further tested for its ability to be launched from an aircraft carrier using a catapult system. The aircraft was hooked up to catapult number 1 aboard the USS Shangri-La (CV-38).
