Stirling V prototype

Stirling V prototype

An unarmed military transport and freighter version of the Mk. Ill, which it resembles in genera] outline except for a redesigned nose. The forward portion of the nose hinges upwards for loading light freight into the forward compartment, a self-contained beam block and tackle being provided for this purpose. Aft of the rear spar frame fuselage may be adapted to fit the aircraft for a variety of duties.
