Avro Manchester Mk I L7279 EM-B
The 1st plane, L7279, delivered to Squadron on 6 November 1940. Just visible is the lower surface of the retracted ventral “dustbin” turret almost immediately below the fuselage roundel. This bomber survived until October 1943, when it was struck off RAF charge.
