Halifax I L7245

Halifax I L7245

  • L7245 was the second prototype Halifax. This prototype differed from the first (L7244) by including a Boulton Paul tail turret, in contrast to the manually operated tail gun turret on the first prototype. Bomber also had “Schwartz-type” fins. These fins were not adopted for the following production run.
  • L7245 first flew on 17 August 1940 at Radlett. It was then transferred to RAF Bicester for modifications.
