German light military truck manufactured by Friedrich Krupp AG. The vehicle was used by Wehrmacht during World War II, mainly as an artillery tractor and for transporting infantry.
The design work lasted from 1929-1933, in 1934 the serial production of the version marked L 2 H 43 began. The vehicle had a 3.3-liter engine with a capacity of 55 hp and a 6 × 4 drive. In 1936, it was replaced by the improved version of L 2 H 143, differing, e.g. a more powerful 4-cylinder Krupp M 304 or 305 (60 HP) engine and an increased rear axle spacing. In total, in the years 1934-1942, about 7,000 vehicles were produced in both versions. Prototype vehicles L 2 H 243 (with a 70 HP engine) and L 2 H 343 (with a 70 HP engine and all-wheel drive) were also built.
