Panzer 35(t) ( or Pz.Kpfw. 35(t), Panzerkampfwagen 35(t)) was a Czechoslovak-designed light tank used mainly by Germany during World War II. Main armament: 3.7 cm KwK 34(t) gun. Max armor: 35mm. Production: 434 tanks.
When Germany occupied Czechoslovakia in March 1939, the Germans adopted the tank as the Pz.Kpfw.35(t). The LT35 was well-armed, armored, and mobile for its small size and weight, although its pneumatic transmission and steering proved fragile in colder temperatures. After 1940, most were converted into tractors, carriers or maintenance vehicles, although Romania continued to use the R-2.
