The cockpit was well organized, with one notable concern: emergency escape. Standard equipment included a Patin PDS three-axis autopilot, featuring a twistgrip for course control on the pilot’s right-hand yoke. Clear Plexiglas panels provided a forward view, and rudder pedals were positioned in front. The complex Lofte 7K tachymetric bombsight was located between the pilot’s legs. During bombing runs, the pilot could either fly using the bombsight control knobs and optical sight or opt for the periscope sight and associated BZA bombing computer during a dive attack.
